Abridged and expanded rules comparison

The supplied abridged and full references are two profiles of the same rules generation. Public source identifiers are abridged-2004 and full-2008; printing details appear in provenance. A broader catalogue does not imply that the underlying resolution system was replaced.

Area Shared mechanics Full-reference additions or differences Interim support
Character accounting Purchased attributes, traits and skills Independent secondary purchases and wider construction choices Secondary purchases and owned feature contributions
Skills Attribute-relative trained levels and defaults Very-hard difficulty, richer defaults, specialties, prerequisites and techniques Authored definitions and explicit supported procedures; no full catalogue
Traits Signed point costs and existing trait effects Wider catalogue, modifiers and self-control pricing Price specifications plus existing Lite effects; no generic effect engine
Templates Character purchases remain accountable Occupational composition and ancestry packages Occupational templates and choices; ancestry pending
Reputation Recognition and reactions depend on context Faceted audiences, recognition frequencies and richer modifiers Owned reputation, retained recognition and source pricing
Social interaction Reaction rolls and authored NPC decisions Expanded decision tables, information and trade procedures Private reactions, structured decisions, information delivery and loyalty
Fear A Will-based check can precede consequences Full-reference failed fear resolution uses its own consequence table Existing abridged behavior; expanded consequences not supplied
Critical combat outcomes Critical success/failure categories The full reference supplies additional outcome tables No expanded combat implementation in this branch

The last two rows describe different procedures, not merely additional options. Including character/social modules does not silently replace the abridged fear or combat procedures. Expanded world, health, tactical, supernatural and technology systems belong to the separate full-suite project.

The library catalogue lists every shipped include and its dependencies. The integration guide identifies the interim boundaries. The implementation remains an experimental subset; this comparison is not a complete source-to-test coverage claim.
